Another good Hathor update

It’s been a few days since our last Hathor update. Thank you, peeps, for your continued good thoughts for this precious kitty boy! (dec 7, dec 8 updates)

Hathor is still at the kitty hospital so he can get intravenous pain meds, but he is doing a lot better. His jaw wasn’t wired shut, just wired on one side. They were worried about his eye but now that the swelling is reduced it looks okay.

both photos are from my visit in July. Hathor has grown quite a bit, bigger than his papa Number 5 now.

  1. Glad to hear things are going OK for the poor little guy. We’ll keep sending good thoughts his way… And I love his tummy fur-ridge!

I have an Isis and Hera (both kittens) Love the name Hathor!!

    • littlemiao says:

Isis and Hera are very worthy names for cats!

I think he was named Hathor because he was the biggest kitten of the litter and he is a white and orange cowkitty.

      • GanLu says:

you could say his name is hathor because he’s a cowkitty.

or you could say he’s a cowkitty because he’s a manifestation of hathor! ever since he was born, he’s had a mystical aura about him. people would come over to my house to see the kittens, and they’d all be in a basket in another room, and hathor would run out to greet visitors at the top of the stairs before they even had a chance to go into the room with the basket. and EVERYONE would declare, “this is my favourite, even though i haven’t seen the others yet!”

isis and hera are good matching names.

hathor and his litter-mates sort of have an egyptian theme going on, i guess. hathor and heqat are egyptian divinities. ozymandias was the name used by shelley to refer to rameses. and in the original 1965 dr who show, there was an episode in which the daleks were in egypt. well, that’s really reaching, i guess dalek really doesn’t fit the theme at all…

  3. Poor Hathor. I hate thinking that cute face is in wires and bandages, but it’s good news after that worrisome night. Still sending out those healing thoughts to him!

    • littlemiao says:

Thank you, HG! Things were looking so bad at first, and as cynical as I am, I can’t help but think everyone’s healing thoughts have made a huge difference for Hathor. I am so thankful!

  4. Lurkertype says:

    Hathor has a zipper!

I can hardly picture him being such a big boy, bigger than his father.

So glad he didn’t have to get completely wired shut. Best of luck to him, and I hope his face heals up as cute as before!

  5. Dianda says:

Good to hear things are going better with Hathor! 🙂

  6. The Hook says:

Hathor sounds like one though feline!

  7. lauowolf says:

Everyone will be glad to see the miracle kitty come home.
