Monday Ping Update

Ping’s visit to the vet went well. They are doing some blood work, and tomorrow the results should show us how his kidneys are doing. His appetite has continued to increase. The first thing he did when we got back from the vet was walk over to his food dishes and have a snack. He hasn’t vomited all evening, so long as I’ve been home. Also, he hasn’t lost any weight since August, which is a good sign too.

We’re hoping for the best and your continued good thoughts are much appreciated. Thank you purrs to all!

Oh, this is so good to hear about our illustrious King. Long may he reign! (and nom)

This photo of him is spectacular. He looks both dignified and macho-cool.

Like he’s The Most Interesting Cat In The World, on a TV ad, saying “I don’t always eat tuna, but when I do, it’s bonito. Stay hungry, my friends.”

    Long live the King!

He had a nice big breakfast this morning. I am so happy! The vet gave us some special venison canned food. They don’t want to give him recovery diet because it is high in fat and with his history of pancreatitis it isn’t a good idea.

Thank you, everyone! Thank you from all the miaos.

I have a history of pancreatitis, too. Isn’t it strange how much a low-fat diet complicates treatment of everything else?

Can I ask what Ping’s “normal” diet is? His coat looks so much healthier than mine. And I have trouble keeping my weight up…

finally catching up here. I’m so glad Ping is on the mend!!

  13. mariser says:

we are so thrilled to hear His Pingness is on the mend. bunny-toe flakes for everyone!

it is so difficult when they get to an advanced age, any illness can throw off the delicate balance of their health

  14. Drude says:

Long live the King! yay yay yay! Sounds like a spectacular improvement in such a short time. I hope he stays happy and noms and drinks a lot now.

  15. Redscylla says:
