Sprocket-Sheng is back home, minus one leg. The surgery went great. Everyone at the clinic loves him because he is such a purry sweetheart. He is active and bouncy despite the major surgery he just had. The pain meds have given his eyes a sleepy look, but he hasn’t taken a nap yet even though we’ve been home for a while. He has a huge appetite but I’m not supposed to give him too much food today. He is wearing the obligatory Elizabethan collar because he was already starting to lick his sutures. They should come out in 10-14 days.
The doctor says that the injury to his leg must have taken place weeks ago. At least two weeks, probably more. There was some bruising in the muscle but no external bruising and his tail tip was already healing. Also, based on how well he moves around with three legs, the doctor thinks he has already had some time to adjust.
Mew! Thank you for all your good wishes!
