Oh wow! Light…..dark…..light again. Shadow’s just gotten darker and darker. Was the prince in some catnip for his first digital picture?
The amazing transformations of the Prince through the years!
[this is good]
aww! you have a cat model 🙂
Most Princely…..in all color variations.
Is he graying with age? Some cats do. As a child, I knew my step-grandfather’s cat as a gray tabby of some years, and was astonished to learn that when he was a younger cat, he was a actually a brown tabby.
I’ve seen cats grey, but it’s usually at the muzzle instead of all over. I’m not aware of what could change a ‘brown’ tabby with time. Sometimes the change to maturity can make a big change – for example, my tabby Julie got browner as he got larger, if I am remembering right.
In the case of a colorpoint cat, the change in color between points and body is temperature sensitive. This is why kittens are paler all over – they are warmer due to small body size. In the pics one of the darker ones is a Christmas picture, and the recent light ones are summer shots. This might explain some of it.
He could also be stealing a credit card and gettiing bleach treatments at a posh salon. You never can tell, cats are sneaky.
Prince T has a higher body temp now with his thyroid problem. That’s why his face points are lightening.
Also, he wants to be more distinctive.
It does bring out the ‘ghost’ M on the forehead very distinctly that is normally hidden by his non-agouti gene. Interesting.
He’s a handsome cat.
This looks like an old photo of Tantra:
