Check out Foxy’s latest post, complete with kitteh pics (don’t miss the photo of Nico & Valdo snuggling – they are both big kitties but Nico makes Valdo look small. Also, I’d gladly trade places with Valdo because snuggling Nico is such a treat. However, Valdo snuggles are also excellent and I would never turn one down. There’s only so much room on the couch though)!

In these photos, Ping is playing with a peacock feather! I was taking the photos during his nap time, which wasn’t really to his liking, but occasionally I was able to entertain him with his favorite peacock feather. Actually, he doesn’t have a favorite peacock feather, but peacock feathers are one of his favorite toys.

Baby Sprocket’s Kitty Toy Dilemma

Poor Baby Sprockles can’t decide which toy to play with first: Baby Batty, Purple Mousie, or Purple Flower?

Serious issues require serious thinking from seriously floofy kitties.

The toys are all full of fun. and catnip.

Smart kitties can solve big problems with creative thinking. Why not play with all three at once?

Fresh Ping photos from today!

The purple flowers are from Edgar’s Attic (right now there’s a 10% off sale in case you or your kitties are craving some super yummy and durable catnip toys). After nuzzling and chomping the flower, Ping likes to use it as a paw pillow and sometimes a head pillow.

I’m still having trouble making his mane less greasy without giving him an actual water bath. Kitty wipes help a little bit, but Ping needs something more.

Later in the week that I visited Foxy, things finally warmed up enough to open the windows, for the first time in ages. It was in the 50s! That was a very exciting day for the kittehs, a miscellaneous bunch of whom are assembled below.

From right to left: Nico, Dalek, Valdo, and Heqat or Corexit

Valdo is a sweet and handsome kitty who came from the same place as Nico. He likes to sing. He has a little cravat and a white belly and white armpit hair, which from the right angles looks kind of silly. But from this angle he looks thoroughly dignified:

Introducing Nico of Fox Town

Nico has been a Fox Kitty for months, more than a year by now. He started out as a lodger and his stay kept getting protracted until now he seems like a permanent fixture. I’ll miss him when he moves out this summer. He is one of the largest and handsomest kittehs I have ever met. He is snuggly too but so easily upset that it is hard to know just how long to pet him. I would beg him for the privilege of cuddles, and often but not always he would grant my wishes, at least for a while.

He loves the outdoors. He lives for the outdoors.

It is impossible to convey his sheer magnitude in these photos. He is a big kitty and on top of that he is a muscular kitty and on top of that he is a plump kitty.

He looks forbidding but deep down inside he is a sweet and friendly kitty, so long as he perceives no slights.

I only took a few photos when I visited Foxy in Fox Town in April. I didn’t even get one of each kitteh!

But peeps may remember little Dalek. This is Dalek 2 years ago.

He was the runt of the litter but he has grown to be the roundest of the bunch. He has a really long tail that he wags back and forth when he is happy, which is often. You can’t see any of that in this photo, and you can only get a dim idea of his shape. Also, he is a happy friendly kitty and his expression in the photo is not typical.

And you may remember little Heqat, who has always been the fuzziest of the bunch.

Here he is now. Sometimes he ignores me and I think he doesn’t love me, but then he’ll be all needy. Or kneady.

Miaoling 1 vs. Miaoling 2

This is one of my few attempts at Miao Action Photography. The Miao kitties are lazy and so am I, which is why we gravitate towards portraits and napping photos.

This Miaoling altercation started out with Chun on the kitty condo, which he calls his tabouret, watching the backyard on one of the few days we’ve had where it was warm enough to have windows open.

Actually, it started with Sprocket batting at Chun’s tail while Chun tried to watch birdies and squirrels in the backyard, but then they both settled down, or seemed to. Except no one holds a grudge like Chun. So as soon as Sprocket got all comfy in Bean Bag Pose, Chun took advantage of his greater height and started to bop poor baby Sprock.

Little Sprockers tried to stand up for himself.

But it was mere seconds before Chun sent him scampering.

If Sprocket had a tail long enough for Chun to nibble, I am sure that he would not object to Chun nibbling his tail. Chun is always taking advantage of his greater height. Sprocket’s short little sprocketty legs don’t stand a chance against Chun’s long Siameezey legs.

Am I the only one who thinks Chun should let his little brother win?
