One reason I like the artwork of Pollyanna Pickering so much is that the artist is deeply involved in wildlife conservation and animal rehabilitation. For many years, she ran a hospital for birds of prey and other British wildlife. She personally cared for many of the animals. Her paintings beautifully convey her passion and sensitivity for wildlife. I have her 2007 British Wildlife calendar cut up and pasted around my desk.
